Discussion:
New Satellite and Terrestrial TV Alignment Calculators
(too old to reply)

Released today.

Both:
HTML 5
Google Maps v3
OpenLayers v2.13.1
All data loaded via JSONP so will work better within translation
engines.

Satellite Dish Alignment Calculator
Updated sat data

Terrestrial Aerial Alignment Calculator
Removed legacy DSO and 800 band clearance data.
More accurate path analysis and profile

Remaining problems:

:-( Upgrade to HTML5 has made a mess of the page layouts when
printing output in most modern browsers, disastrously so in IE.

:-( IE10+ (possibly IE9+) won't style selectors properly

:-( IE8- (possibly IE9-) may not show markers until map is zoomed
(actually, I had thought I'd fixed this, but now it seems not).

Work In Progress:

Try, once again, to obtain a sensible printout, particularly in IE.

Update Terrestrial Calculator to use latest Ofcom data, including
antenna patterns which I have at last obtained via FOI (a mere five
years after I first asked). I may be asking for help here in
interpreting and/or applying the *.PLT files.

The differences in rendition between browsers, between different
versions of the same browsers, and the same versions of browsers under
different versions of HTML, remain utterly soul-destroying and
exasperating. I'm rapidly losing the will to live.

Don't do that Mac, this is far far too useful a tool.
